Geo News Broadcast Hacked, Anti-Army Message Aired; MD Clarifies Administration Not Involved
**Karachi:** Hackers briefly hijacked the broadcast of private TV channel Geo News, airing a message against the Pakistan Army, but the attempt was quickly thwarted, and normal transmission was restored.
Azhar Abbas, Managing Director of Geo News, confirmed the hacking in a statement on X. He said, “We want to inform our viewers that Geo News, broadcasting via Pakistan’s satellite ‘Pak Sat,’ has been targeted for hacking and disruption over the past 24 hours. Recently, the channel faced continuous interference, and an inappropriate message was broadcast by hijacking Geo News’ screen.”

He clarified that the incident had no connection with Geo News administration and urged authorities to take immediate notice, investigate the matter, and bring the responsible parties to justice.
