Gold Gets Costlier Again, Price Surges by Thousands of Rupees

Karachi: Gold prices continued their upward trend today as the local bullion market witnessed a significant increase, bringing the precious metal close to historic highs.
According to the All Pakistan Gems & Jewellers Association, the price of gold surged by Rs 1,300 per tola, taking the new local rate to Rs 541,262 per tola. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 1,114, reaching Rs 464,044.
The international market also saw climbing rates, with global gold prices increasing by $13 to $5,185 per ounce.
Silver prices were similarly affected. In the domestic market, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 268 to Rs 9,554, and 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 230 to Rs 8,191. On the global stage, silver climbed $2.68 to $90.70 per ounce.
Analysts say fluctuations in the international markets are directly impacting local bullion prices, leading to continuous changes in the rates of precious metals.
