Punjab Orders Immediate Evacuation of Dilapidated School Buildings

**Lahore:** In a major move aimed at ensuring student safety, the Punjab School Education Department has ordered the immediate evacuation of all dangerous and partially dilapidated school buildings across the province.

The department has decided to take strict action against unsafe school structures and directed that all such buildings be vacated and sealed without delay.

In a circular issued to district authorities, it was clearly stated that under no circumstances will students be allowed to enter unsafe buildings. Academic activities in these structures must be completely suspended.

Authorities have also been instructed to place clear signboards on buildings declared hazardous to inform parents and students about the risks and prevent any potential accidents.

The letter further warned that in case of any untoward incident due to non-compliance with these directives, responsibility will rest with the relevant District Education Authority and the school head.
