KP Government Introduces One-Hour Driving License Facility

**Peshawar:** The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced a major सुविधा to make the process of obtaining a driving license faster and easier, announcing a new service that enables issuance of a driving license within one hour.

In another significant step toward improved public service delivery, the provincial government has fully digitized the issuance process of learner driving licenses for LTV (Light Transport Vehicle) and HTV (Heavy Transport Vehicle) categories.

Applicants can now submit their applications online from home and complete the required steps to obtain a learner license within a short time. The facility has been developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board with administrative support from the Transport Directorate and the Transport and Mass Transit Department, and is available through the Dastak mobile application.

Citizens can download the app, enter their details, pay the required fee online, and receive their learner license after digital verification.

Officials said the initiative will enhance transparency, reduce the chances of corruption, and ensure timely and quality service delivery to the public. The provincial government added that more services will gradually be shifted online to promote e-governance and provide modern facilities to citizens.

The move aims to eliminate long queues and unnecessary delays, allowing residents to fulfill legal requirements in the shortest possible time.
