Olympian Khawaja Junaid Appointed Head Coach of Pakistan Hockey Team

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a new team management for the national hockey squad, appointing Olympian Khawaja Junaid as the head coach.

Players of the Pakistan hockey team, team management officials, and heads of development committees met with PHF’s ad hoc president Mohyuddin Wani. During the meeting, Wani encouraged the players to focus solely on their game and bring honor to the country, assuring that all possible facilities would be provided to them.

He emphasized that the federation would handle all matters outside the field, taking responsibility for both good and wrong decisions. Players would be given necessary privileges, and no unnecessary pressure would be applied. The PHF will also manage logistics, coordination, and other off-field responsibilities.

In addition to motivating the players, the president officially announced the new team management, confirming Khawaja Junaid as the head coach of the national team.
