T20 World Cup: England Captain Calls Victory Over Sri Lanka a “Birthday Gift”

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** England’s T20 captain Harry Brook described his team’s Super 8 stage win against Sri Lanka as a “beautiful birthday gift.”
Speaking at the post-match ceremony, Brook said the pitch was not difficult, but both teams’ spinners utilized pace variations effectively, creating opportunities. He praised Phil Salt for an impressive 60-run innings, noting that the team built their game around him to reach a competitive target.
When asked about Jos Buttler’s form, Brook reassured fans, saying that there is no cause for concern. “He is one of the best white-ball players,” Brook said, adding that Buttler is currently experiencing a temporary confidence dip.
In the second Super 8 match played at Pallekele, England defeated Sri Lanka by 51 runs.
