“I Didn’t Even Cry When My Mother Passed Away”: Hadiqa Kiani Reveals the Truth Behind Her Emotional Strength

Lahore: Renowned and dignified Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani has shared a deeply personal truth about her life, leaving many listeners moved and surprised.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a private television show, Hadiqa Kiani opened up about a lesser-known aspect of her personality. She revealed that although she can easily shed tears while performing emotional scenes on screen, crying is not something she does in real life.
Explaining the reason behind her extraordinary composure, she shared a painful chapter of her life. According to the singer, her mother remained bedridden for the last 17 years of her life. That prolonged and challenging period, she said, made her emotionally strong “like steel.”
Hadiqa stated that when a daughter has to become the support system for her mother, she cannot afford to break down. During those difficult years, she remained a pillar of strength for her family, choosing resilience over tears and turning her emotions into courage.
She further added that acting and performing in dramas serve as an emotional outlet for her. The tears she sheds in front of the camera, she explained, often become a release for the feelings she controls and suppresses in her everyday life.
