Benazir Income Support Program Increases Financial Aid for Women Ahead of Ramadan

Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has announced an increase in financial assistance for eligible women on the occasion of Ramadan.
According to private TV reports, BISP has raised the quarterly stipend by PKR 1,000. Previously set at PKR 13,500, the quarterly aid will now be PKR 14,500. Officials said the move aims to provide additional support to low-income households to help them meet basic needs amid rising inflation.
Under the same package, allowances under the Benazir Educational Stipends and Benazir Nashonuma Program have also been increased by up to PKR 500, providing beneficiaries with additional support for children’s education and nutrition.
Meanwhile, a live e-court session was held at BISP headquarters in Islamabad under the chairpersonship of Rubina Khalid, where grievances and issues of beneficiaries were addressed.
Chairperson Khalid instructed women who have not yet obtained a free SIM for their digital wallets to visit the nearest BISP office immediately to ensure smoother and more transparent disbursements. She emphasized that the government remains committed to providing dignified and timely financial assistance to needy families.
