Registration with District Administration Made Mandatory for Setting Up Ramadan Dastarkhwans in Islamabad

**Islamabad** – The district administration in Islamabad has made registration mandatory for individuals and organizations intending to set up Ramadan Dastarkhwans (free iftar meal arrangements) across the city.

According to an official spokesperson, a total of 18 applications have so far been received from different parts of the city. During the holy month of Ramadan, Dastarkhwans are traditionally arranged along various roads and public places to provide free meals to the public at sunset.

Under the new directive, those wishing to organize a Ramadan Dastarkhwan must submit a formal application along with complete details to the district administration. Applicants are required to provide their identification information and the proposed location for the setup.

The administration will ensure proper site allocation, security arrangements, and other necessary facilities after reviewing the applications. Assistant Commissioners will inspect the proposed locations before issuing official permits.

The spokesperson clarified that no public Dastarkhwan will be allowed to operate without prior registration and approval from the district authorities.
