Imran Khan Undergoes Medical Examination at Adiala Jail; No PTI Representative Attends Despite Invitation

RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister **Imran Khan** underwent a detailed medical examination at **Adiala Jail**, conducted by a five-member team of specialist doctors, jail authorities confirmed.

According to a statement issued by Jail Superintendent Sajid Baig, the medical team—comprising experts from various hospitals—spent about one hour carrying out a comprehensive check-up. A mobile medical laboratory was also used to conduct multiple diagnostic tests.

The examination primarily focused on Khan’s eye condition and was conducted under the supervision of a two-member medical board. The team arrived with necessary medical equipment and medicines to ensure a complete assessment.

Sources said the government had invited the leadership of **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** to be present during the medical examination. However, despite the offer, no PTI representative arrived at the jail. The special medical team reportedly waited for nearly one and a half hours before proceeding with the examination with Khan’s consent.

Jail sources revealed that the medical board included Dr. Nadeem Qureshi and Dr. Amjad, along with other specialists—Dr. Rafiq, Dr. Sikandar, Dr. Arif—and a laboratory technician. Strict security arrangements were in place during the visit.

Officials stated that the doctors will compile a detailed medical report and submit it to the government in due course.
