UN Security Council Strongly Condemns Islamabad Suicide Bombing

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the suicide attack on a mosque in Islamabad.

In a statement, the President of the Security Council, James Kariuki, said that the cowardly attack carried out on February 6, 2026, at an Imambargah in Islamabad resulted in the deaths of at least 32 Pakistani citizens and left 92 others injured. The militant group Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Pakistan. They also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
