Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Attend Gaza Peace Board Meeting, Accompanied by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar: FO Spokesperson

Islamabad (Qudrat Roznama) – A spokesperson for the Foreign Office announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in the Gaza Peace Board meeting, accompanied by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

During the weekly news briefing, FO spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that the Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation and is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump during his visit to the United States.

The spokesperson further said that Pakistan has shared evidence of ISIS presence in Afghanistan with global partners and identified the mastermind of ISIS attacks as being based in Afghanistan. He emphasized that Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself.

On bilateral issues with India, the spokesperson noted that Pakistan has sought details regarding the construction of new dams and urged India to avoid unilateral actions, reminding that India is bound by the Indus Waters Treaty.

Regarding cricket, the spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s decision to not play against Bangladesh was made to prevent India from using cricket as a political tool or weapon.
