Pakistan Likely to Sight Ramadan Moon on February 18, 2026

ISLAMABAD: There is a strong possibility that the **Ramadan 2026 moon** will be sighted in Pakistan on **February 18**. The **Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee** will hold a meeting on the same day to confirm the moon sighting.

Astronomers have indicated that the crescent may be visible on **29th Sha’ban 1447 AH**, with the new moon (conjunction) occurring on **February 17 at 5:01 PM**.

The **Pakistan Meteorological Department** has also predicted that the Ramadan moon is likely to be sighted on February 18.

The **official announcement** regarding the start of Ramadan will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after receiving verified moon sighting reports on the evening of February 18.
