Passengers Smuggling Drugs from India Arrested at Kuwait Airport

**Islamabad:** Kuwaiti authorities have arrested several passengers attempting to smuggle drugs from India. Three separate attempts were foiled at Kuwait International Airport through Terminals 5 (T5) and 1 (T1).

The passengers had arrived on different flights from Delhi, India. The General Administration of Customs, represented by the Airport Customs Department, successfully intercepted the smuggling attempts.

In the first case at Terminal 5, customs officers seized 40 pieces of hashish weighing 205 grams from an arriving passenger.

At Terminal 1, another passenger was caught with 37 pieces of hashish weighing 188 grams. In a third incident, also at Terminal 1, a passenger was found in possession of five pieces of hashish weighing 26 grams along with four tramadol pills, brought without any valid medical prescription.

A seizure report was prepared, and the suspects, along with the confiscated substances, were handed over to the General Department for Drug Control and Alcohol Suppression for further legal action.
