Saudi Arabia’s Aid to Gaza Exceeds 725 Billion Riyals

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid and funding for the Palestinian people has surpassed 725 billion riyals. This support is part of the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to aid Palestinians and assist countries and individuals affected by various crises and disasters.
According to the King Salman Center, by the end of July, over 7,538 tons of aid had been delivered to the Palestinian people. This included shelters, medical and food supplies, electrical equipment, as well as 20 ambulances and ten mobile morgues provided to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. Additionally, 30 electric generators and 500 debris removal tools were sent to ensure the continuity of rescue and relief operations.
The aid also included 39,200 ready-to-eat meals and 62 logistic trucks. This effort is part of Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians amid Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza.
According to the Saudi Relief Agency, aid has been delivered through 58 flights and eight naval ships. The Center has also signed agreements with several international organizations for funding humanitarian projects in Gaza, totaling \$90.35 million. Additionally, with Jordan’s cooperation, airdrop operations are being conducted to deliver food aid to those affected by the Gaza blockade.
The situation in Gaza is dire, with famine becoming increasingly prevalent, and immediate action is needed to prevent widespread fatalities. The United Nations reports that 100,000 women and children in the area are suffering from food insecurity. Experts have warned of the looming risk of famine, as many people have run out of financial resources after 21 months of continuous conflict.
