Concern Over Unannounced Load Shedding in Quetta, Nasrullah Zerey Meets QESCO CEO

**Quetta:** Provincial President of Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP), Nasrullah Khan Zerey, met with QESCO Chief Executive Officer Syed Yousaf Shah at his office to discuss prolonged and unannounced load shedding in Quetta and its surrounding areas. Chief Engineer Shaukat Khan Jogezai was also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Zerey expressed serious concern over extended power outages amid the harsh winter season, stating that unannounced load shedding has made life miserable for residents. He said business activities are being badly affected, while students and households are facing significant difficulties due to frequent electricity disruptions.
He urged QESCO authorities to immediately reduce the duration of load shedding and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the city and nearby localities.

Zerey further pointed out that several areas in and around Quetta are facing repeated transformer breakdowns and low voltage issues due to insufficient transformer capacity. He demanded the immediate installation of new and additional transformers and the upgradation of the outdated power distribution system.
On the occasion, QESCO CEO Syed Yousaf Shah listened to the concerns and assured that practical measures would be taken to improve electricity supply. He said that steps would be taken to install new transformers where required and to enhance the overall power distribution system.
The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party reiterated its commitment to continue raising public issues at every forum and striving for the provision of basic facilities to the people.
