Jamaat-e-Islami Only Hope for Honest Leadership in Balochistan, Says MPA Hidayat-ur-Rehman

Gwadar:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly **Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch** stated that **Jamaat-e-Islami (JI)** is not just a political party but a **comprehensive religious, social, educational, and humanitarian movement**. He emphasized that JI is the **only honest political force capable of delivering rights to the people of Balochistan**.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation and addressing a public gathering in **Gwadar**, Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman highlighted the party’s **84-year-long legacy** of integrity and service. He said that since its establishment in **1941 by Maulana Syed Abul A’la Maududi** with just 75 members, Jamaat-e-Islami has remained **unified, undivided, and corruption-free**.

He noted, “Unlike other political, religious, or nationalist parties, Jamaat-e-Islami runs **educational institutions, hospitals, laboratories, thousands of ambulances**, and supports **thousands of orphans** — a distinction no other party in Pakistan can claim.”

Despite electoral challenges, he said, **JI continues its mission**, earning the title of **“the rich party of the poor.”** Over the years, nearly **500 JI members have held positions** as ministers, finance heads, mayors, and legislators, yet **none have faced corruption charges**, he added.

Highlighting Jamaat-e-Islami’s presence in relief efforts, he stated, “Whenever floods, earthquakes, or natural disasters strike, **JI and Al-Khidmat Foundation** are always the first responders.”

Locally, he mentioned that in **Tehsil Jiwani**, JI runs **six informal schools**, while in **Gwadar**, a **Darul Uloom High School** operates under the party’s supervision. Jamaat-e-Islami’s **mobile health unit** served Gwadar for two years, and its affiliated organization, **Helping Hands**, is currently supporting **200 orphaned children** in the region.

The party has also launched a new orphan sponsorship program for **300 children**, with **65 already registered**. Furthermore, a **Rs 250 million hospital** is being constructed on **5 acres in Gwadar**, which will include **rehabilitation for drug addicts and a vocational training center for women**.

Molana Hidayat termed Jamaat-e-Islami’s performance in Gwadar as **“exemplary”**, asserting that the party’s practical efforts in education, health, and welfare **set it apart from all other political entities** in the region.
