Lahore: A video of renowned Pakistani singer, television host, and actress Akasha Gul has gone viral on social media, showing her in tears while recalling her past during a live program.

Her YouTube channel has over 114,000 subscribers, featuring her music and mini vlogs.

She gained particular recognition for her mimicry on Mastiyaan and her roadshows on private TV channels. Recently, a clip from Shoaib Adamโ€™s podcast went viral, where she shared the hardships she faced growing up.

In the clip, Akasha Gul said, โ€œI have experienced poverty, and I even have pictures of it that I can show you. We lived in a very small, makeshift mud house that had to be rebuilt multiple times because the roof and foundation would collapse.โ€

She added that their house resembled homes built by Sikh families during the Partition era, with a dirt courtyard, as her father could not afford a permanent structure. โ€œYet, despite the struggles, we never went hungry. There was always food, fruits, and milk,โ€ she recalled.

Akasha Gul expressed gratitude for the blessings in her life, saying, โ€œI donโ€™t know who among us was lucky enough to never face starvation, but I thank Allah for the countless blessings He has given me.โ€

Social media users have praised Akasha Gul for her honesty and openness about her past, sending her messages of support, prayers, and good wishes.
