Senator Faisal Vawda’s Remarks Spark Controversy Over Comments on Politicians

Islamabad:Senator **Faisal Vawda** has triggered controversy after making provocative remarks about politicians during a television talk show.

Earlier, Senator Faisal Vawda met President **Asif Ali Zardari**, where they discussed the country’s political situation, parliamentary affairs, and matters of mutual interest.

Later, speaking on **Geo News’ programme “Capital Talk,”** Senator Vawda said that Pakistan’s problems could be resolved if a large number of politicians from the past 30 years were punished, making remarks that drew strong reactions. His comments have since been widely criticized for their violent tone.

During the same programme, Faisal Vawda also stated that a **28th constitutional amendment** would “definitely” be introduced, adding that issues including the **National Finance Commission (NFC) Award** would be resolved through mutual consensus.

The remarks have fueled debate in political and media circles, with calls from various quarters for responsible discourse by public representatives.
