Widow Women to Receive Rs 100,000 Under New “Support Card” Scheme

Lahore (Qudrat Daily): The government has approved the launch of a “Support Card” scheme for widow women, under which each eligible woman will receive Rs 100,000.

According to details, the initiative aims to provide financial assistance directly from the Zakat Fund. The scheme will be introduced by the end of this month.

Under the program, every eligible widow will receive a one-time payment of Rs 100,000. Widows with one child will receive an additional Rs 25,000, while those with two children will get an extra Rs 50,000.

The Zakat Department has allocated a total of Rs 4 billion for this welfare project, intending to support widows and their children economically and help alleviate their financial hardships.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader social welfare programs aimed at assisting vulnerable and underprivileged segments of society.
