Bhatti Gate Case Settled: Families Receive Compensation, Accused Granted Bail

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): Significant progress has been made in the Bhatti Gate case, in which a mother and daughter died after falling into a manhole.
The District Court Lahore approved bail for the five arrested suspects on the basis of a settlement. The court stated that if the accused are not wanted in any other case, they may be released on bail.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued an important statement on social media regarding the Bhatti Gate incident. She confirmed that the plaintiffs in the case have reached an agreement with the accused.
According to the settlement, the husband of the deceased woman, Ghulam Murtaza, received PKR 8.5 million, while the father of the deceased, Sajid, was paid PKR 2.5 million. Following this, the court granted bail to the accused.
