Three-Day Basant Festival Concludes Successfully in Lahore

LAHORE: The three-day Basant festival in Lahore, marked by kite flying, music, food, and festive celebrations, concluded successfully, filling the city with color and joy.
Throughout the three days, Basant brought vibrant scenes across Lahore, with people of all ages participating enthusiastically in the traditional festival. Children, youth, adults, and the elderly were seen on rooftops flying kites, engaging in kite-fighting, and chanting slogans amid the beat of drums and a celebratory atmosphere.
The city witnessed lively gatherings and feasts at various locations, as citizens celebrated Basant with great enthusiasm. The combination of music, festivity, and cultural spirit transformed Lahore into a hub of celebration.
On the final day, authorities extended the time for kite flying until 5:00 am to allow enthusiasts to enjoy the last rounds of kite fighting.
Following the success of the festival in Lahore, the Chief Minister of Punjab has also indicated the possibility of organizing Basant celebrations in other cities of the province in the future.
