Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi Orders Immediate Blocking of Passports of Deported Pakistanis

Karachi: Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi chaired an important meeting at the Directorate of Immigration and Passport, where a key decision was made to immediately block the passports of Pakistani nationals who have been deported.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Secretary of Interior, and the DG FIA. During the meeting, DG Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi provided a briefing to the attendees.
He informed that a mobile application will soon be launched to facilitate citizens, making passport-related services more accessible and convenient.
Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that all legal formalities regarding the new conditions should be completed promptly to curb illegal immigration and prevent begging.
Minister Talal Chaudhry also noted that this decision would send a positive message to the international community and assured that the implementation of blocking the passports of deported individuals would be strictly enforced.
During the meeting, the Interior Minister also inspected the newly installed six Machine Readable Passports (MRP) and two e-passport machines, which are expected to enhance the efficiency of passport services. Mohsin Naqvi also met with the Pakistan-Germany team who assisted in the installation of these machines.
The meeting concluded with discussions on further steps to improve citizen services and ensure better facilitation for the public.
