US Restaurant Cook Dies After Jumping into Hot Deep Fryer in Pennsylvania

According to foreign media reports, the incident occurred at a restaurant in Lycoming County. Fire and Emergency Medical Services officials said the employee reportedly removed his clothes before jumping headfirst into the operating deep fryer. He suffered severe burn injuries and could not survive.
During the incident, a female coworker was also injured while attempting to stop him. Both were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the cook later succumbed to his injuries.
