Govinda Dropped from ‘Bhagam Bhag’ Sequel, Manoj Bajpayee to Replace Him

Mumbai: Bollywood fans have received disappointing news as veteran actor Govinda has been dropped from the upcoming sequel of the 2006 hit film Bhagam Bhag, with Manoj Bajpayee now set to play the key role.

According to Indian media reports, preparations for Bhagam Bhag 2 are underway, featuring stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, but Govinda will no longer be part of the project. The original film’s success was largely credited to the on-screen chemistry between Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Govinda.

Reports confirm that the sequel will feature a fresh storyline, incorporating new comedic situations to engage the audience, with production scheduled to begin next month in Mumbai.

Fans reacted strongly to the casting change on social media. One user said, “If Bhagam Bhag is being made, Govinda should have returned.” Another commented, “Manoj Bajpayee can never match Govinda’s comedic timing; he should have been brought back.” Some even warned that without Govinda, the film could fail at the box office.

The news has sparked intense debate among Bollywood enthusiasts, who continue to call for the return of the iconic comedian.
