Constitutional Court Declares Saleh Bhutani Winner in PB-21 Election Dispute

Quetta: The Federal Constitutional Court has announced its verdict in the election dispute of Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-21, declaring BAP party candidate Saleh Bhutani as the successful candidate.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din heard the case and had reserved its judgment on January 29, which has now been announced.
Earlier, a recount was ordered on the petition of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Ali Hassan Zehri, following which the Election Commission had issued its decision. However, Saleh Bhutani challenged the Election Commission’s ruling before the Federal Constitutional Court.
After hearing arguments from all parties, the court accepted Saleh Bhutani’s petition and officially declared him elected from constituency PB-21.
