Armed Suspect Detained Near Imran Khan’s Sisters and Lawmakers Outside Adiala Jail

Rawalpindi: Police have arrested a suspicious armed man found near the sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and several members of the National Assembly outside Central Jail Adiala.
According to police, the incident occurred near Adiala Jail, where officers on duty noticed a suspicious individual in close proximity to Imran Khan’s sisters and other lawmakers. The suspect was immediately taken into custody by Saddar Bairuni Police Station.
Police stated that a case has been registered against the suspect under the Illegal Arms Act on the complaint of the police. During a search, a 30-bore pistol along with four bullets was recovered from his possession. The suspect failed to produce any license or permit for the weapon.
The arrested individual identified himself as Arif, a resident of Multan. Police also recovered a mobile phone from his possession.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect has been formally arrested, a case has been registered, and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
