Libyan Deputy Commander-in-Chief Meets Pakistan Air Chief to Discuss Bilateral Defence Cooperation

Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, held a meeting with Libya’s Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, to discuss matters of mutual defence cooperation.
Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where he met the Pakistan Air Force chief. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Libyan delegation was briefed on various PAF initiatives, including developments at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park.
ISPR said the Libyan delegation expressed keen interest in benefiting from the operational experience of the Pakistan Air Force’s air and ground crew. The Air Chief assured the visiting delegation of the PAF’s full support in enhancing Libya’s air force capabilities.
It is noteworthy that a day earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar, met Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir. The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly the regional security situation.
Both sides also discussed professional military cooperation and emphasized the importance of continued engagement and collaboration between the armed forces of Pakistan and Libya.
