Pakhtun and Baloch Unity Urged to Protect Homeland, Says Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai

**Quetta:** **Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai**, Central Secretary of the **Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP)**, expressed deep grief over recent terrorist attacks in Quetta, including the killing of **Police Officer Mahmood-ur-Rahman Bazai** and three family members—**Hanif Khilji, Sanaullah Khilji, and Sana Muhammad Khilji**—in the Takhtani Bypass area. He offered **prayers (Fateha)** for the martyrs and conveyed condolences to their grieving families.

Speaking on the recent incidents and the government’s inability to respond effectively, Jogezai warned that **global powers are seeking to seize local resources and turn the region into a battlefield**, putting the safety of ordinary citizens at risk. He called upon **Pakhtun and Baloch communities to unite and defend their ancestral lands, resources, forests, and minerals**.

He criticized internal divisions, noting that the **Pakhtun nation has been deliberately distracted by tribal rivalries**, which have hindered the pursuit of national goals while foreign and domestic actors exploit local resources. Jogezai emphasized that **only an organized political and democratic struggle can counter the current threats** and urged party workers to mobilize the public in support of national objectives.

He also expressed solidarity with the families of **martyred and injured police officers and civilians**, including **Ashraf Khan Mandokhel, Abdullah Khilji, Muhammad Naeem Khilji, and Muhammad Rahim Khilji**, praying for their speedy recovery. Jogezai urged the government to **ensure medical care for the wounded** and requested **administrative coordination to support affected families**.

The event was attended by senior PMAP leaders, including **Azam Sahib, Provincial Liaison Secretary Gul Khilji, Provincial Deputy Secretary Soorat Khan Kakr, Quetta District Information Secretary Faisal Kakr**, among others, highlighting the party’s commitment to **representing oppressed communities and safeguarding regional unity**.
