Failure to Arrest Killers of Shaheed Waleed Saleh Baloch Deeply Concerning: National Party

Quetta: The National Party has expressed serious concern over the failure to arrest the killers of Shaheed Waleed Saleh Baloch, brother of provincial assembly member Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch and son of senior party leader Haji Saleh Baloch.
In a statement, the party’s central spokesperson said that even after ten days, the inability of the government and security institutions to apprehend the culprits raises serious questions about their performance. The spokesperson condemned the brutal killing of an innocent young man who had no political involvement and was martyred just ten days before his wedding, calling it an act of sheer barbarity.
The National Party spokesperson said that the law and order situation in Balochistan has deteriorated to alarming levels, with killers, robbers, and criminals roaming freely while the district administration and police remain engaged in extortion and harassment of citizens at checkpoints instead of protecting the public.
He added that despite spending Rs. 80 billion in the name of maintaining peace and security, conditions remain dire, and people are forced to live under a constant shadow of fear.
The spokesperson warned that if the killers of Shaheed Waleed Saleh Baloch are not arrested immediately, the National Party will launch strong protests both inside the assemblies and on the streets.
