Kapil Dev Reacts to Proposed Pakistan–India Match in T20 World Cup

New Delhi:** Former Indian captain Kapil Dev has responded to the proposed Pakistan–India match in the ICC T20 World Cup amid ongoing political tensions between the two countries.

The highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India is scheduled to be played on **February 15 in Colombo**. According to foreign media reports, Kapil Dev was asked whether the two teams should face each other in the current political climate.

In response, the former Test cricketer said that it is not appropriate for former players like him to make statements on such matters. He emphasized that sensitive decisions of this nature should be left to the authorities.

Kapil Dev added that he would support whatever decision the officials make, stating that he does not believe in giving unnecessary or meaningless statements.

It is worth noting that a final decision regarding Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup has yet to be made, while the unveiling of the national team’s kit has also been postponed.
