Imran Khan’s Health Not as Serious as Being Portrayed, Says Opposition Leader Mahmood Achakzai

Islamabad: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Mahmood Achakzai, has said that former prime minister Imran Khan’s health is not as poor as is being portrayed through propaganda.

Speaking to the media after a joint meeting of the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Political Committee, Achakzai said he could state with confidence that Imran Khan’s condition was not as serious as being claimed.

He added that the opposition had announced protests, and during the same period, concerns about the PTI founder’s illness were deliberately spread among party workers.

According to Geo News, Achakzai said that his party holds no enmity toward anyone, but efforts are being made to divert attention from their core objectives.

He further stated that the opposition demands a free and independent Election Commission and transparent general elections. He also called on state institutions to remain within their constitutional limits and play their role in rebuilding Pakistan.
