Cowardly Enemy Attacks Cannot Shake Our Resolve, Says Balochistan CM

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that the state remains fully committed to the fight against terrorism with complete strength and determination, stressing that cowardly attacks by the enemy cannot weaken national resolve.
He made these remarks while visiting the site of a bomb blast that occurred in Quetta on Saturday morning, where he reviewed the security situation. During the visit, the chief minister met officers and personnel of the security forces, police, and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), praising their courage, professionalism, and timely response.
Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Khan, briefed the chief minister on the incident, including security arrangements, ongoing operations, and the overall law and order situation. CM Bugti said the swift and effective response by police and CTD helped prevent major loss of life.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the chief minister revealed that over the past 12 months, security forces in Balochistan have eliminated more than 700 terrorists. He added that nearly 70 militants were killed during operations conducted over the last two days alone.
He further said that militants affiliated with “Fitna-e-Hindustan,” attempting to boost their declining morale, launched attacks in various parts of Balochistan early Saturday. However, coordinated actions by the Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps (FC) successfully foiled all attempts, resulting in the killing of 37 more militants so far.
CM Bugti emphasized that such cowardly acts would not undermine the state’s determination to eliminate terrorism. He categorically stated that anti-state elements would not be forgiven under any circumstances, peace in Balochistan would not be compromised, and operations would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
He paid tribute to the officers and personnel of the security forces, police, and CTD, saying the entire nation takes pride in its brave defenders who continue to make sacrifices for peace and security in the province and the country.
