US Approves $9 Billion Patriot Missile Sale to Saudi Arabia
The United States has approved the sale of Patriot missile systems to Saudi Arabia, with the total deal valued at approximately $9 billion.
The Pentagon confirmed the sale, stating that Saudi Arabia will be provided with advanced Patriot missile capabilities along with related equipment and support systems. The deal is aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s air and missile defense capabilities.
Earlier, the United States had also approved the sale of military equipment worth $6.5 billion to Israel. In a statement, the US State Department said the package for Israel includes Apache helicopters valued at $3.8 billion and light vehicles worth $1.98 billion.
In addition, Israel will receive Namer armored personnel carrier power packs, logistics support, and other military equipment as part of the approved defense sale.
