Deteriorating Law and Order in Killa Abdullah, 200 Police Posts Vacant, Poison of Opium and Drugs Spreading: Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): During the Balochistan Assembly session, a point of order was raised by MPA Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Killa Abdullah, on which details of the steps taken by the government were presented in the House.

During the session, Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango, briefing the House, said that over the past two years, numerous practical measures have been taken to establish peace and order in Killa Abdullah district. In this regard, two new police stations have been established in the district, the number of security personnel has been increased, and important tribal disputes have also been resolved amicably.

Speaking in the discussion on the point of order, Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai said that it is the fundamental responsibility of the state and government to immediately attend to the people’s basic problems, especially the law and order crisis, and find a durable solution to them. He revealed that Killa Abdullah was previously notorious for opium cultivation; however, due to the authorities not taking serious action, this curse has now spread to other areas as well, and regrettable incidents are occurring in the district every other day.

He told the House that in his constituency, the posts of 3 police officers and 200 personnel are still vacant. He demanded that the police recruitment process be simplified, while operations against drugs should be made stricter so that people in Killa Abdullah, Chaman and Ziarat can travel without fear or risk.
