Islamabad Court Orders Arrest of KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Over Non-Appearance

Islamabad: A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a case related to allegedly making misleading allegations against state institutions.

The court ordered law enforcement authorities to arrest and produce the chief minister before the court after he failed to appear despite being summoned.

According to court records, a case has been registered against Sohail Afridi by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) under the PECA Act.

The hearing was conducted by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah, who adjourned further proceedings in the case until February 10.
