Punjab Police Decide to Purchase New Vehicles Worth Rs 238.6 Million for Judges’ Security

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** Punjab Police have decided to purchase 11 new large vehicles to enhance security for judges of Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs).
In this regard, the Inspector General of Punjab has sent a summary to the Chief Minister seeking approval for the purchase at a cost of Rs 238.645 million.
According to the summary submitted to the Chief Minister, Pakistan’s judicial system is facing security threats, and a related security assessment has been attached with the proposal.
The document states that Rs 141.845 million will be required for the purchase of new vehicles for ATC judges’ security, with the cost of each vehicle estimated at Rs 12.895 million.
An additional Rs 96.8 million will be needed to make the vehicles bulletproof. The cost of bulletproofing each vehicle is estimated at Rs 8.8 million.
The summary submitted to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz requests the provision of a supplementary grant to facilitate the purchase of the new vehicles.
