Germany Emerges as Easiest Schengen Destination for Pakistani Passport Holders in 2024

Germany has become the most favorable Schengen country for Pakistani citizens seeking a visa in 2024, according to official Schengen visa statistics.

Despite a 9.61% decrease in overall applications compared to the previous year, Pakistani nationals submitted **78,362 Schengen visa applications**, making Pakistan the **28th highest** country globally in terms of volume.

Germany topped the list of preferred destinations, receiving **20,570 applications** from Pakistani citizens. Impressively, **68.31%** of these applications were approved, making Germany the most successful Schengen destination for Pakistani travelers. In total, **14,051 visas** were granted by German authorities.

Across all Schengen states, **38,892 visas** were issued to Pakistanis in 2024. On the other end, Sweden received the **fewest applications**, with only **215** submitted by Pakistani citizens.

Encouragingly, the **rejection rate** for Pakistani applicants also saw improvement in 2024, suggesting a more positive outlook for those seeking to visit Europe.
