Eight Killed as Car Collides with Dumper in Kotri

Kotri: At least eight people were killed in a tragic road accident after a car collided with a dumper near a rice warehouse in Kotri, police said on Tuesday.

According to police officials, those who lost their lives included three young girls, two boys, one woman, and two men. The affected family belonged to the Latifabad Indus Pahari area of Hyderabad and was traveling from Hyderabad to Thatta when the fatal accident occurred.

Police said the car was severely damaged in the collision, making it difficult to retrieve the bodies. With the help of local residents, efforts were made to break parts of the vehicle to recover the victims.

Later, Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene with heavy machinery and successfully recovered the bodies trapped inside the wrecked car. The deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital for further legal procedures.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
