QESCO Decides to Suspend Loadshedding for One Week Amid Severe Cold

**Quetta:** The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has decided not to carry out electricity loadshedding for one week in view of the prevailing severe cold weather, aiming to ease public hardship and ensure uninterrupted power supply in cold regions.
According to QESCO, the decision applies to Quetta city as well as other cold areas of Balochistan. The move has been taken in response to falling temperatures and public complaints, with the objective of providing relief to residents and keeping commercial activities running during the harsh winter conditions.
QESCO management stated that all operational field staff have been put on high alert to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during this period. In case of any technical fault, teams along with concerned feeder in-charges will remain available at offices to promptly restore power and handle emergencies.
The suspension of loadshedding will also extend to other cold regions of the province outside Quetta. However, rural feeders will continue to receive electricity as per their existing schedules, while the decision will not apply to the Makran Division and the areas of Sibi and Naseerabad.
QESCO has appealed to its valued consumers to use electricity responsibly and avoid unnecessary consumption, so as to prevent additional pressure on the power system and help ensure continuous supply.
