Rain and Snowfall Begin Across Various Districts of Balochistan; Meteorology and PDMA Issue Alerts

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Rain and snowfall have begun in several districts of Balochistan, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a severe weather alert. According to the Meteorology Department and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan, light rain and snowfall occurred Wednesday night in Ziarat and surrounding areas, while Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Musakhel, Barkhan, Sibi, Loralai, Turbat, Gwadar, Jiwani, Lasbela, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Washuk, and Kharan experienced strong winds accompanied by localized rainfall and thunderstorms.

PDMA Balochistan has warned that on Thursday, heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Mastung, Washuk, Turbat, Awaran, Dera Bugti, Musakhel, Loralai, and Surab. Snowfall of **9 to 12 inches** is expected in Ziarat, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, and Chaman, while Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Kalat, and Zhob may receive **2 to 5 inches**.

Authorities have issued warnings for slippery roads and the risk of flash floods in local streams and small rivers. Residents are advised to exercise caution while traveling and take preventive measures to avoid accidents.
