PkMAP Condemns Mines and Minerals Act, Alleging Dispossession of Pashtun and Baloch Resources

QUETTA:The Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), in a strongly worded statement issued from its central secretariat, has condemned the recently passed Mines and Minerals Act, declaring it an attempt to deprive the Pashtun and Baloch people of their natural and mineral wealth. The party warned that those responsible for passing the legislation will be held accountable by the public.

PkMAP stated that it is actively resisting what it calls an “incompetent and failed government imposed through Form-47” – a reference to alleged election rigging – and vowed to expose and defeat the forces of “national betrayal” with the help of democratic and political alliances in the country.

The party also criticized the recent Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) exams, alleging blatant violations of merit and rules. It claimed that hardworking and deserving candidates were deliberately failed, undermining public trust in the institution and demoralizing the youth of the province.

Condemning the move to dismantle the Levies Force, the party declared the notification illegal and unconstitutional. It emphasized that peace in remote Pashtun areas is largely maintained through the Levies, and any plan to convert B-Areas into A-Areas will be strongly resisted.

Furthermore, PkMAP criticized the Quetta city administration’s decision to block parking in marketplaces without first constructing parking plazas, which it says has caused hardship for shopkeepers and customers during the busy Eid shopping period.

The statement also accused certain elements within government institutions of supporting or facilitating terrorism in Pashtun regions under the guise of security operations. The party pledged to expose such actions and play its historic and democratic role in safeguarding innocent citizens from violence.

PkMAP reaffirmed its commitment to defending the constitutional rights of the Pashtun people and to continuing its political struggle on all fronts.
