Balochistan CM and Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq Discuss Coordinated Strategy for Polio Eradication and Routine Immunization

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Balochistan Chief Minister **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** met with **Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq**, the Prime Minister’s focal person for polio eradication, to discuss a **coordinated strategy to strengthen polio campaigns and routine immunization** across the province.
The meeting, held on Wednesday in Quetta, was also attended by **Anwar ul Haq**, coordinator of the National Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and **Inam ul Haq**, coordinator of the provincial EOC. Officials discussed **enhancing the effectiveness of polio campaigns, expanding routine immunization coverage, and addressing ongoing challenges**.
Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq **praised the Balochistan government’s efforts** under CM Bugti’s leadership, highlighting that **coordinated strategies and effective field measures are producing positive results**. She emphasized that **strong cooperation between federal and provincial governments is essential** for the complete eradication of polio.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the **Balochistan government views polio eradication as a national responsibility** and is committed to protecting children from this deadly disease. He noted that **integrating security, monitoring, awareness, and health systems** is crucial for the campaign’s success.
The Chief Minister underlined that **increasing routine immunization coverage is equally important for a sustainable health system**. He assured that **every child in the province will have access to vaccines**, and all available resources will be mobilized to achieve a **polio-free Balochistan**.
The **Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan**, also attended the meeting and provided a briefing on provincial routine immunization efforts, polio eradication measures, inter-agency coordination, and administrative matters.
