NCCIA Warns: One Wrong Social Media Post Can Land You in Jail

Islamabad: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has warned that a single careless or misleading post on social media can lead to legal consequences and imprisonment.

In a public advisory aimed at raising awareness, the NCCIA urged users to verify any post, news, or link before sharing. The agency emphasized that spreading content without proper fact-checking constitutes a violation of the law.

The NCCIA also highlighted that disseminating unverified information or false news against the judiciary or powerful institutions is considered a serious criminal offense under Pakistani law.
