Three More Victims Identified in Gul Plaza Tragedy as Death Toll Stands at 28

Karachi: The identities of three more victims who lost their lives in the Gul Plaza fire tragedy have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified bodies to 11.

According to Geo News, the newly identified victims are **Muhammad Shahroz, Muhammad Rizwan, and Maryam**, whose bodies have been handed over to their families. Other identified deceased include **Kashif, Misbah, Aamir, Faraz, Farooq, Furqan, Muhammad Ali, and Tanveer**.

Authorities have confirmed that the overall death toll in the tragic incident has reached **28**, while **17 bodies remain unidentifiable** due to severe damage. For identification purposes, **DNA samples from 50 families** have been collected and sent for forensic analysis.

A fire officer stated that the **open area of the basement has been completely searched**, and no bodies were found there. However, the search of the **compressed portion of the basement is still ongoing**. Officials also confirmed that the **second and third floors of the building have been cleared**.

Meanwhile, an **investigation committee has formally begun work** to determine the causes of the deadly fire at Gul Plaza, as authorities continue rescue, identification, and inquiry efforts.
