Quetta’s Key Intersections Turned into Drug and Vice Hubs, JUI Demands Immediate Action

**Quetta:** Leaders of **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Quetta district** have raised serious concerns over the growing drug trade and vice activities in the city’s major intersections, calling for urgent government action.
In a joint statement, district head **Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Abdul Rahman Rafiq**, Secretary General **Haji Ainullah Shams**, senior vice head **Maulana Khurshid Ahmed**, and other party leaders said that **drug dealing, substance abuse, and immoral activities** have become widespread in Quetta’s key squares, posing a serious threat to societal values and the future of the youth.
The statement criticized the government and local authorities for their **criminal negligence**, noting that despite being aware of these issues, the concerned departments remain passive, allowing these problems to escalate.
JUI leaders demanded **immediate and impartial action** against drug dealers and vice dens. They emphasized that schools, residential areas, and major city intersections must be cleared of these threats to safeguard the youth and protect the social fabric.
