Four-Day Art Workshop Inaugurated in Turbat to Honor Ata Shad and Highlight Makran’s Culture

**Turbat:** A special four-day art workshop was inaugurated at the Kech Culture and Museum Complex in Turbat, organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Balochistan. The inaugural ceremony was attended by prominent political and cultural figures, with PPP leader and Provincial Minister for Youth and Sports, Mina Majid Baloch, as the chief guest, who officially opened the event by cutting the ribbon.
Other notable attendees included Provincial Minister P&D Mir Zahoor Ahmed Bileedi, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Energy Mir Asghar Rand, Director Youth Affairs and Sports Ilyas Shad, Haji Zahid Rand, Madam Mehnaz Shabbir, and several artists and social personalities.
Assistant Director of Kech Museum and Culture Complex Ayaz Hashim Bizenjo, along with senior art teacher Zubad Baloch, briefed the guests that the workshop was designed to pay tribute to the timeless literary contributions of renowned poet and writer Ata Shad, while also showcasing Makran’s rich history, cultural heritage, and archaeological legacy. They emphasized that the program aims to connect the youth with their cultural roots and provide them with opportunities for creative expression.
The workshop and wall-painting activities will continue from January 19 to 21, followed by an art exhibition on January 22. Speaking to the media after the inauguration, Provincial Minister Mina Majid Baloch highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting fine arts and cultural heritage among the youth and affirmed that the government will continue to support similar positive and constructive programs.
Art teacher Zubad Baloch stated that the workshop provides students with an excellent platform to showcase their creative skills. Participants praised the initiative and urged for more opportunities of this nature to help young artists refine their talents and advance in the field of art.
