Balochistan High Court Orders Immediate Suspension of Provincial Assembly Recruitment Process
Quetta: The Balochistan High Court has ordered the immediate suspension of the ongoing recruitment process in the Provincial Assembly.
The bench, headed by Chief Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhel and Justice Gul Hassan Tarin, heard a constitutional petition (C.P. No. 2134/2025) filed by Salman Khan and others. Petitioners were represented by Advocate Bilal Haider, while the government was represented by Additional Advocate General Shai Haq Baloch and Law Officer Karim Gorgij.
During the hearing, the Additional Advocate General requested time to submit para-wise comments. The court granted the request and directed that “the recruitment process shall remain suspended until the next hearing.”
The case, which involves the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, Secretary Assembly, Chief Secretary, and Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) as respondents, will be further heard after the winter recess.
