National Party Stages Protest Over Gas Crisis in Quetta, Holds Sit-in Outside Gas Company Headquarters

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):**
The National Party staged a protest and sit-in outside the head office of **Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)** in Quetta against the ongoing gas crisis in the city. The demonstration was led by Provincial General Secretary Advocate **Changez Haq Baloch**, along with **Dr. Ramzan Hazara** and **Ayub Ali**, and was attended by hundreds of party workers and residents from **Hazara Town, Mari Abad, Sariab**, and other areas.
Addressing the protesters, National Party leaders said that the **non-availability of gas during the harsh winter season** was tantamount to cruel treatment of the public. They criticized the gas company for continuous negligence in service delivery, stating that gas supply in Hazara Town, Mari Abad, and Sariab had been **almost completely suspended**, causing severe hardship for children and ordinary citizens.
During the sit-in, National Party leaders held negotiations with **SSGC General Manager Raheel Malik** and his team. The company acknowledged the public demands as **legitimate and lawful** and assured the protesters that steps would be taken to resolve gas load-shedding issues in Quetta, along with other technical and administrative measures.
SSGC also promised to **review the performance of responsible officers** and take strict action against those found negligent. Following the successful talks, National Party leaders said the party believes in dialogue and democratic processes to safeguard the fundamental rights of the people and will continue political and legal efforts to ensure improved public services.
After the assurances, the protesters **ended the sit-in**, expressing hope for an improvement in gas supply. National Party leaders warned that if the company fails to honor its commitments, a **wider protest movement** would be launched.
