Health Card Scheme Approved for Islamabad, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad:The federal government has decided to launch the Health Card scheme in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan, enabling millions of additional citizens to benefit from free healthcare services.
Under the Federal Health Facilitation Program, permanent residents of Islamabad, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan will be eligible to receive treatment through the Health Card, according to an official communication issued by State Life Insurance Corporation.
State Life has issued directives to all panel hospitals associated with the Health Facilitation Program. The Health Cards will become operational from January 16. Panel hospitals have been instructed to establish health desks before the activation date to ensure smooth implementation of the program.
According to State Life, eligible and deserving individuals will be provided uninterrupted medical treatment facilities through the scheme. The Federal Health Facilitation Program aims to provide quality and free healthcare services to citizens.
The Health Cards issued under the program will remain valid until June 2027, ensuring continued access to essential medical treatment for beneficiaries in the covered regions.
